Pet Boarding FAQs

Pet Boarding FAQs

Safety, health, and happiness are essential when it comes to your pet. When choosing a pet boarding service, you want to make sure that your pet feels comfortable. We ensure that all pets are treated with the utmost care here at All Care Animal Clinic in West Palm Beach. You may want to bring your pet in for a veterinarian visit with us before boarding him or her.

Why is it a bad idea to leave my pet home alone?

While it may seem ideal to leave your pet alone in their own comfort zone, it can bring feelings of abandonment if nobody else is around. This can result in depression and anxiety. It may even cause destructive behavior. Having someone just stop by once a couple of times a day to feed your pet may not be enough.

How does a pet boarding service help?

Pet boarding services are ideal if you will be leaving town for a few days because your pet will always have quick access to our vet if needed. They will also have access to our entire veterinary team. Pets are always watched carefully in our care. Our vet team will ensure that they receive any necessary medications or if they begin to display signs of sickness.

Are certain types of dogs in need of pet boarding more than others?

All dogs, young and old, can benefit from pet boarding. However, younger dogs need it more than older dogs. Dogs that require special medical attention or senior dogs are also more in need of pet boarding services. This is because these types of dogs need closer monitoring than healthy adult dogs. Some dogs may require medications on a schedule that a pet boarding service can facilitate.

Are there specific health requirements my pet must meet before boarding him or her?

All pets must be up to date and current with their core vaccinations. They should also receive the Bordatella vaccination before being kept in pet boarding. This vaccination protects against kennel cough. Your pet must also be vaccinated against fleas and heartworms and must not show any signs of parasite issues within the fecal sample.
